Legend has it, when worn by the High Priest of Anubis at the funerals of pharaohs the mask will weeptears of gold. It is likely that the god Anubis had some part in its creation and later gave it to his priests. The fake Mask of Anubis was located at the end of the tunnels. The true Mask of Anubis, which they thought to be the bronze replica given by Robert Frobisher-Smythe, that was in the library was actually the real one. Only the pure of heart can wear the Mask to gain access to the Land of Gods. Rufus Zeno was killed by the Mask's power because Rufus is not pure hearted.
When the Frobisher-Smythes had stolen The Mask of Anubis along with the cup of ankh and possibly the book of isis from Egypt, they hid the fake Mask of Anubis at the end of the tunnels under the house. The real one was the one in the library, which was "hidden in plain sight". Yet, if they did not have the fake mask, they would not have been able to read the message on the wall, and they never would have known that the real mask was the one in the exhibition. Also, when the mask turns into a seemingly useless bronze copy of itself when seperated from the gem, which was probably used for protection. Sometime before their death, the Frobishers built the tunnels and donated the mask.
senkarah the Forgotten Ruler of Egypt spirt who is stalking Sibuna gave them all the mark of anubis as a curse and in return to reverse the curse sibuna must find the Mask of Anubis at the end of the tunnels. She is always watching them when they were in the tunnels looking for the Mask and once "fake-pushed" nina down the chasm in her dream to get her to hurry up. Victor, in the season finale lets Rufus Zeno put on the mask, for only the pure of heart can travel into the 'field of rushes' or the ancient egyptian afterlife and become a god. The mark links who ever has it and who ever gave it together. It glows bright red and can kill any marked people or put them under serious pain.
If you look at the Mask of Anubis closely, you will notice a small crater in the forehead. The Frobisher Gem is the size to fit into it. When the gem is inserted into the replica mask at the library, it turns from bronze to gold. The Frobisher Gem is the mask's third eye. Without the third eye, the mask is useless. When the Osirion holds it, it glows brightly.

The fake mask is at the end of the tunnels, guarded by many intricate tasks and is well hidden. This was proven wrong, as in the finale, when the Frobisher Gem was placed on the indentaion on top of the fake mask, it transforms into full gold, where it becomes the true mask. The mask was then put back into the exhibition by Nina after she asked Victor if he thought it was best to put it back where Robert Frobisher Smyhte intended it to be. It probably becomes bronze as an added protection.
According to rufus zeno, the mask takes a person through "the trials of the Egypt" The trials were the transition into the Underworld, which was why the Book of the Dead was made, so they could pass them. The mask either allows them to skip the trials or the power to complete them easily.
The mask gives them the powers of an Egyptian deity, including immortality. However, this means that in mortal terms, the person will die. Also, Nina could throw deadly fire blasts under possesionRufus going to his doom for he is not worthy to wear the mask.
The mask also produces "tears of gold", which is assumed to be the missing ingredient to the elixir of life.
The replica in the library is the true mask.
The mask at the end of the tunnels is the final clue, as seen when Nina put her locket on the mask, it flashed a light that when shone on the wall, will reveal the final message.
The Mask's abilities only work if the person who wears it is pure of heart.
The true Mask of Anubis is located at the exhibition, so they did not have to go through tasks
Anyone who was not pure of heart is sent tumbling into what seems to be an Egyptian underworld.
Rufus is not pure hearted, and cannot go into the 'Field Of Rushes'
No one really knows if the tears of gold are actually gold. The tears of gold may be a large part of season 3. They do seem to save a almost dead person like Joy.
It is possible that now Joy is immortal because she took in a tear of gold though maybe it is neccesary for it to be used with the Elixir to truly achive long life.
The Book of Isis supposedly contains the recipe for the elixir. victor was looking for it, when vera found it in the study. Vera found it in a drawer in robet frobisher smythe's secret study. stole the final chapter but mara accidently took it and dropped it in the hallway. Victor picked it up and began to translate it. The winged sun disk, the symbol of Ra is branded in gold.The Cup of Ankh is the treasure inside anubis house. When the Elixir of Life is drank out of The Cup, whoever drinks it becomes immortal. The Cup is the ultimate goal of the victor and secret society. It was also wanted by rufuszeno. The Cup was first brought to the House by the Frobisher-Smythes, who recovered it from an archeological expedition into King Tutankhamun's tomb. They hid it in the House so that it wouldn't be found, but victer rodenmaar sr. wanted it for himself. It is assumed that he murdered the Frobisher-Smythes in the
hopes of getting it, but ultimately he did not find the Cup. sarah-frobisher-smythe was pressed for information about the Cup's whereabouts, but its pieces were not found until nina martin arrived in 2011.The Elixir of Life was created from an ancient recipe and Victor Rodenmaar Sr. used it to retain his youth. He died before he could pass the recipe to his son, though. Victor had a supply of the Elixir and was able to use it to maintain his youth, but without the recipe he couldn't make any more of it. He tried unsuccessfully over the years to recreate the Elixir without success, so he turned his attention to finding the Cup of Ankh, which would allow him to become immortal if the Elixir was drunk from it, meaning he wouldn't need the Elixir anymore. However, Victor was unaware of the true consequences of using the Cup of Ankh. He believed the "tipping of the scales of life" to be a symbolic concept, but it would actually cause life force to flow from one person, killing one of them.
In Season 2, Victor searches for the Book of Isis, which may possibly have the recipe for the elixir.
The Story of the Cup
According to Fabian's "Unlocking The Eye" book, which is about Egyptian mythology, the Cup originally belonged to the Egyptian gods, but the high priestess amneris got hold of it and hid it inside the tomb of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Angered by this act, the god Anubis struck down the cup, splitting it into seven pieces and preventing it from being used until it could be put back together. These are the seven puzzle pieces that were hidden in Anubis House by the Frobisher-Smythes. They are now in the possession of sibuna. Anubis made an agreement with Amneris that once every 25 years, on a special date, at a special time, a member of Amneris' bloodline would be able to reform the Cup of Ankh. This person would be born on the same hour of the same date of the same month of the number in there month, date, and time. Sarah Frobisher Smythe and Nina Martin are two known Chosen Ones.

As of the Season 1 Finale, it would seem that the Cup is no longer useful, as the last of Victor's supply of Elixir was thrown out by Fabian.
In the original Dutch het huis anubis (and das haus anubis) the cup is called 'The Holy Grail'.
In Season 2, Nina retrieves the cup under the stage floorboards and hides it in a secret panel in the attic.
In order to build the Cup of Ankh you need to say the incantation: "With the Circle of Light, I Seal the Circle of Life..."
There is a slight mistake though, the title of the Book Of Isis is in English and the contents have been pre-translated, if you look closely.
The Book of Isis must have been an ancient scroll which the Frobisher Smythes found, translated and made a book and hid in the hidden attic study.
SERIES ONE CLUES!
fabien and nina found a painting of a girl in the attic, where Nina's necklace is used to open the hidden door. On the back of the portrait, they found a set of three Egyptian hieroglyphics written in tiny print in the corner.
Riddle : None
Solution : The hieroglyphics translate to "underneath the eighth stair (the second hieroglyphic)." When Nina pries up the eighth stair on the staircase and yank off the top part of the step, they find a key.
Location : Fabian and Nina use the key from the first clue to open a box in the attic. They find a set of old phonographic cylinders and a puzzle box. As they listen to them, they hear a little girl talking into the phonographic cylinder.
Riddle : "When daytime ends at midday through tears of glass the eye shall see"The First Ankh piece opened
Solution : The phonographic cylinders are the diary of Sarah Frobisher-Smythe, as a record of her past. The puzzle box can only be opened with the correct combination and contains a riddle. But in a later episode Fabian accidently drops the puzzle box and Nina pulls it apart reavealing it's riddle.
Location : The previous riddle leads them to restore the chandelier and the sun shines through the stain glass window in the main entry hall and in the attic. The chandelier glows green and sends light to a panel and Nina opens it with her locket
Riddle : "Ket is the place to find and there in the flames you must look behind'"The Second Ankh piece
Solution :"When daytime ends" means sunset. There's a stain glass window with a sunset shown in it in the attic. There is also a stain glass window in the main entry. "Tears of glass" refers to the chandelier in the main entry. At midday, the sunlight shines through both the stain glass window and the chandelier. When focused through the glass bulbs in the chandelier, the sunlight shines directly on a panel in the main entry, which is opened with the Eye of Horus. A puzzle piece is inside it which is very skinny. And it's jewel can be removed to reveal the riddle inside.
Solution : From the previous riddle "Ket" means "place of fire" in Egyptian. Nina thinks it means a fireplace, but it actually refers to an oven in the kitchen that no one can figure out how to open. The oven is opened by Nina's necklace "Eye of Horus" and it reveals a passage leading down to the cellar. In the cellar there is a large tethering ring with numbers on the inside of the ring.
Location : The riddle is hidden behind the 1922 panel on the sarcophagous
Riddle : " Belethered and clasped the one place where 'yesterday' always follows 'tommorow'"
Solution : The most common numbers on the ring are 1, 9, and 2. With the 2 used twice, they form 1922, the year the house was named Anubis. A panel in the living room has "1922" written on it. Behind it is the next clue.
Solution : The word from the previous riddle "yesterday" always comes after the word "tomorrow" in a dictionary. The answer is a leather Arabic dictionary with a clThe riddle written in invisible ink
Solution : The banister of the stairway has several Eyes of Horus carved into it. The handles at the end are globe shaped. By turning the hollow one two times to the right, it opens to reveal a puzzle piece, but if you turn it to the left once, it locks and can never be opened again. It contains an Ankh piece, which Victor confiscates. A code can be put in to which then it opens revealing another riddle for the next Ankh piece.
Solution : The previous riddle refers to a grandfather clock. "My father's father" means grandfather. "His hands together turn circles around Isis and Osiris (the moon and the sun)." The Egyptian god Horus is represented by the triangle, which can be formed by the hands of a clock when they point to three o clock, which causes a panel in the clock to open. However, the panel had contained the Ankh piece that Victor had already discovered, so it was empty. And this pieceThe riddle written on the wall when the Fifth Ankh piece was opened
Riddle : "To find the secrets of the past look beyond this world through glass "
Solution : The previous riddle refers to the voice on the phonographic cylinders. The blank cylinder that made the screeching sound when Fabian and Nina attempted to play it turned out to be fake and there was a clue hidden inside it.
Location : Appears on the surface of the moon when focused on the telescope in a certain way.
Riddle:"Unleash the power, light your way. Find the demisphere hidden below."
Solution : The previous riddle lead's Fabian to figure out that "beyond this world through glass" means using a telescope where a riddle appears on the surface of the moon when focused
Location : The sixth Ankh is hidden at the base of the chandelier when Nina opened it, a piece of paper fell out and the Ankh
Riddle :"Inside the core of my enemy's pride is where the final relic hides"
Solution : The previous riddle means that the demisphere is the bottom of the chandelier. The house leads Nina to it and when she removes it, a piece of paper falls out and it's the riddle for the final Ankh piece.
Solution : The previous riddle hidden below the chandelier refers to Corbierre, Victors"pride and joy." Nina removes his head and a piece is inside that reads, "END."
All seven clues make up the "The Cup of Ankh." The cup was forged by the Egyptian god Anubis, but a high priestess named Amneris stole it from him. In retaliation, he broke the cup into seven pieces, rendering it powerless until such a time as it could be reassembled and restored. Only someone descended from Amneris could reassemble the cup. This person would be known by the fact that they were born on the same Hour of the same day and of the same month. (Nina was born on July 7, 7:00A.M. and Sarah was born on January 1, 1:00A.M.)
The Cup can only be assembled on the chosen hour of the chosen day, which only comes once every 25 years. Once assembled, anyone who drinks the Elixir of Life from the Cup of Ankh will become immortal. However, the consequence of this is that once you become immortal, one of seven predetermined individuals known as The Seven Acolytes will die, because one life must exchanged for another.
TASKS TO THE MASK OF ANUBIS!
"An athenaeum is the place to look; lift the wings to find the book. Hidden in this book of old: water of life, and tears of gold."
The Tunnels were discovered when Sarah'sdollhouse lit up, revealing a secret drawer below the dollhouse which held a map of the Tunnels. Nina guesses that this means that there are Tunnels below the house because the map was under the Dollhouse.
When Nina & Fabian found the Victorian Lock in the Cellar, they did some digging to find the combination. The solution, "1890", is the year that Anubis House was built.Nina trying to unlock the Antechamber.
In order to gain further access to the Tunnels from the Antechamber, Sibuna found a bookcase. When a certain book is pulled back, the bookcase rotates to inside the tunnel. From there, Ra's beacon scans those who've entered. Whoever doesn't have an Amulet from the Antechamber is blinded by the light.
When Amber is blinded by the Beacon, Nina, Fabian, & Amber hear a recorded riddle from Robert Frobisher-Smythe:
"To those who have trespassed where they do not belong, the beacon of light is your warning song. Your eyes shall not see, all shall be dark, until Ra completes his blazing arc."
In order to avoid the Beacon blinding them, Whoever is getting scanned must wear one of the Amulets they found in the Antechamber. If hay are not they will be blinded until sunset of the next day.
Once the key was revealed to be a small cube, Sibuna had to transform it into a pyramid in order to unlock the doorway to the next Task.Sibuna unlocking the next Task
After the ceiling almost traps Amber, Nina, and Fabian hear a recorded riddle from Robert Frobisher-Smythe:
"Traverse the grid of step or hop, follow the sequence do not stop, all must complete the hopscotch test, before the ceiling stays at rest."Sarah's Dollhouse giving clues
Finding the rhythm to the pendulums so that you can walk through it with no problems. The small vent door on the other side then stops the pendulums when you push it.
In order to move on, Sibuna must traverse through a room full of deadly threads and find a large spider. There's also 3 hooks hanging on different colored threads.
Note: The silver thread causes a sting like a spider bite, the yellow thread causes its victims to hallucinate and panic, and the red thread effect was not discovered, but hinted to cause a fatal death (hint:...the scarlet thread will may spell you doom" from the clue inside the silver spider).
Note: This Task is based off of the Spider Goddess, Nieth.
"Upon the foundation on which this house rests lies the solution to the spider web test. To find the armourer in the scholar's hollow, the silver thread of fate you must follow."
On the large silver spider Sibuna found there was another clue:
"To pass beyond the weavers throne, lay her daughters in their home, move with care through her poisoned loom, the scarlet thread may spell your doom."
After finding the mother spider, and removing it's daughters from inside it, you must put the daughters on the their hooks according to the color on their backs. The large spider must be placed in the imprint near the beginning of the webThe Spider's Daughter
In order to move on, Sibuna must mix a series of chemicals into an explosive brew which will allow entrance to the next task.The Lioness God Sekhmet guarding the Alchemy Test
"Six little stars that borrow light, a secret falcon takes it's flight, seek the star in the jackals lair, be always vigilant and beware, for the quester who completes this task, shall find the chamber of the mask."
The Zodiac on the Chamber Wall has clues to the reflectors, but it incomplete, unlike the one in the Book of Isis.
Sibuna must find all 6 reflectors and place them on the stands in order to reflect the light to create a consetellation shaped like a falcon and
open the chamber of the Mask. This is what they think is the last task, Frobiher-smythes did not lie, since after that chamber they do find the mask but their is one final task to receive the mask.
Sibuna found the secret door in this chamber. Behind the door, which can only be opened by the Thoth Amulet, is a tunnel leading to the hidden passage in the frobisher libary and other places in the house . After pressing the button located at the end of the tunnel, the passage opens, a bookshelf moves, & you can enter the library.
The Sibunas must complete a game of Senet to get to the mask. A message left behind by Robert Frobisher Smythe was played once someone stepped onto the board "The Golden prize will tempt the fool, the wise should heed this golden rule. This game of Senet you cannot win, only the wreckless will even begin. One wrong move will seal your fate, an end too dark to contemplate." If you land on a plate with an Anubis Mark on it, there's a chance of the Anubis statue's defeating you and getting trapped in a secret cellar (which is located below Mr. Sweets office). Nina gets sucked into the pitfall in 2012. Once Nina fell into the pitfall another recorder message left behind Robert Frobisher Smythe was played "My warnings ignored now come the costs.Continue the task and all will be lost.But if fallen friends you wish to reclaim,you have no choice but to finish the game."
Note: This task is based off the jackal god, Anubis'.
Nina found a spare key in the Frobisher Library in the box ment to hold the book of isis. They had used the key to unlock the glass case to the Mask of Anubis, but it was eventually found out that the Mask in the panel was a fake. Nina's locket had revealed a message inside the Mask which was Robert's last trick towards hiding the Mask "The true mask still waits hidden for all to see the Portal of the mind awakes the Paragon is the key". And Nina figured out that hidden for all to see refers the replica but the replica was powerless because it was incomplete without the Frobisher gem inside the small crater in the forehead.
The 7 deadly tasks are what you need to complete to open all the doors for the tunnels. the mask of anubis is supossed to be hidden at the end of the tunnels in the chamber of the Mask. The chamber of the Mask is the same place where the Game of Senet takes place. The Mask hidden at the end of the tunnels was a fake and the real one turned out to be the "replica" in the library.
THE DOLL HOUSE!
The Dollhouse has been giving sibuna clues that represent what they`re supposed to do or sometimes give riddles
Tears of gold are weeped while wearing the Mask Of Anubis. Nina Martin got a ring from Victor's father. She was instructed to give this to Victor. Victor opened the ring and found one more tear of gold. Tears of gold are the final ingredient for the elixir recipe. In the Season 2 finale, it ends with Victor finding the last tear of gold. That was the cliffhanger. Season 3 is possibly about the tears of gold.
When nina martin wore The Mask of Anubis it started weeping tears of gold. However, when Rufus Zeno wore the mask he went to the underworld, inferno, or hell because he didn't have a pure heart. This maybe a sign that Senkhara wanted Nina to wear the mask so she could go to the afterlife since unlike Senkhara, Nina was pure of heart. The tears Nina wept were given to Joy, by Victor to save her life in the final episode of season 2.
The tears seem to be made of a semi-solid liquid, is they are capable of holding shape. If this is the case, then the tears of gold do not consist of gold nor water.
Sarah originally owned the dollhouse and left it in the attic. Which ambur found in the Season 2 premiere and liked it saying she always wanted a dollhouse. She was upset when she knew it was getting thrown away and tried chasing after the garbage truck to get the dollhouse.
The dollhouse is helpful because it has given Sibuna clues to complete the tasks. It once belonged to sarah, so she can help them through the dollhouse.
Sibuna has used it many times, its extremely useful.
nina and fabien think Sarah is the one who communicates with them by lighting up the dollhouse then revealing something.
She now owns the doll house after season 2 she has liked it. She said she has always wanted one even if it was of a creepy old house. She figured out that it has the clues that Sibuna is looking for. She appears to have decorated it with plastic grass around the edges of the windows.
Now The Collector (rufus) owns this dollhouse. jerome stole it while Sibuna was in the cellar and gave it to jasper, who gave it to The Collector. Earlier, Jasper and The Collector had a "deal" that if Jasper gave him the dollhouse, he would give trudy in return. But The Collector took the dollhouse and as of now, he has yet to give Trudy back to Jasper. Also, when alfie tried to rescue Sibuna from the barn he smashed the dollhouse with a lawnmower.
The Collector had the dollhouse in the barn where trudy was held captive but when alfie staged a rescue, he smashed down the barn door, and the door fell on the dollhouse smashing it. fabien had kept the piece of the chimney and gave it to nina. It is unknown if any attempts to repair or if the rest of the pieces were also kept.
